Bundaberg Ginger Beer: A Spicy Blast From My Past

At Godspeed Bicycles, we like the long game. Whether it’s dialing in the perfect bike fit, building a brand that lasts, or holding onto a spicy memory from the ’90s, some things just stick with you. And for me, one of those things is Bundaberg Ginger Beer—first discovered back in the day while racing bikes in New Zealand, living the dream out of a camper van, and chasing adventure wherever the road led.

Cracking open a bottle now, decades later, it’s like jumping into a time machine fueled by ginger and nostalgia. First sip—bam-o! That same fiery, punch-you-in-the-taste-buds spice hits like a well-timed race attack. It’s bold, crisp, and carbonated like it was engineered for maximum refreshment after hammering up some questionable two-track climb sprinkled with free-range livestock.

The light ginger sizzle lingers, just enough to remind you that this isn’t some weak-ass, overly sweet knockoff. It’s the real deal—just like it was when I first savored one back in our campervan home, covered in mud grime and feeling like a million bucks after another day of racing and exploring.

Would I recommend it? 100%. Would I stock it in the Godspeed HQ fridge? Absolutely! `Been there since long before we even came up with Godspeed, nestled between the espresso shots and whatever kombucha we’re pretending is “hydration.” Would I go back to New Zealand just to drink it from a camper van again? Honestly… not ruling it out.

Final Verdict: 10/10, still as legendary as I remember. #GodspeedApproved #GingerFueled #FastThenFastNow #FreerangeBulls
